What was I thinking?

I'm walking in the streets of Menton, under the sun, the salty smell of the sea coming to me. This smell makes me feel a little bit at home. I've always felt at home near the sea...

Rays from the sun, as warm and gentle as it always is in the Cote D'azur, caress my arm, a smooth breeze lifts my high waisted blouse a little, reminding me how much i love the subtle graze of the wind.
I lay my eyes on this small bump in my mid-section, on my blouse that is stretched over my belly, and at that very moment a potent wave of nausea surprises me, and makes me lean against a wall and take deep breaths.

With my hand i wipe the sweat from my forehead, and resume my aimless walk, trying to organize my thoughts.

Gosh, what on earth was i thinking? Now i have to deal with huge consequences, all for a few minutes of pleasure. All my life, i have been warned...

"Meriem, be careful, don't act withtout thinking of the results, don't do something stupid..."

Still, i had thrown caution to the wind and look at me now...
They were right.
I should've listened.

Chili con carne is not good for me...

Now who's bloated and nauseous?
